Licensed and Qualified High School Teacher in Mandarin as Modern Language and Mother Tongue - Temporary Position

About the Position:

• Teaching: Remote teaching in modern languages at the high school level and in-person teaching at the elementary level.
• Scope: Part-time, 20%
• Duration: 12 months or longer.

About the Position

We are looking for engaged and competent language teachers in Chinese - Mandarin who want to be part of our team! As a teacher with us, you will play a crucial role in inspiring and supporting students in their language development.

Qualifications

We see language teaching as a fundamental part of students' development and goal fulfillment, and therefore we prioritize a high-quality language development approach. We are looking for someone who has a holistic view of learning, is engaged, and curious about continuing to develop in your profession with us. For this position, a teaching degree and qualification in the relevant language are required.

Responsibilities

You will teach mother tongue on-site in Stockholm, and likely modern languages remotely at the high school level depending on the needs of the schools. If necessary, study guidance may also be included in the position, depending on demand from schools. Your assignment includes planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in accordance with the curriculum. As an educator, it is important to adapt teaching to meet students' individual needs and support their knowledge development.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a teaching license with qualification to teach the relevant language.
• Has teaching experience, preferably in remote teaching, and good computer skills (G Suite or similar digital tools).
• Has a formative approach and an interest in pedagogical development.
• Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

We apply the collective agreement between Almega Education Companies/Service Unions and the trade unions Unionen/SI.
